Project Description

This site on 100 acres is just north of Goulburn. The home sits on the top of the hill with 360 degree views of rolling countryside. To ‘anchor’ the design into the ground, the base of the structure is rough face stone (actually coloured Besser blocks with special aggregates) with a smooth rendered wall rising out of it. A pinwheel-shaped plan places the family room, master bedroom and two secondary bedrooms at the end of each ‘point’ for maximum views in all directions. The family room and master bedroom both feature high level, triangular head windows rising into the gables. Simple, clean interiors feature concrete floor tiles and feature colours on key walls and elements such as the two-sided fireplace which separates the family room and dining area.
