Project Description
For this project we started with a simple home clinging to the side of a hill. It had good bones, but was tired, with small dark rooms. A new two story wing now bisects the home, separating the existing wing containing the bedrooms, and the new living wing beyond. Upstairs, the master suite extends out to the amazing views right to the distant ocean, and across the bushland in all directions, enjoyed immensely by its owners sitting outside on their private second story balcony. Downstairs the new living wing is adorned by high raked ceilings with exposed rafters and V groove lining. At the front, a new entry court is flanked by a triple garage with a guest bedroom attic suite above, also capturing those elevated views. New decks, verandahs and terraces, with a barbecue gazebo sitting atop the large water tank providing the water supply and safety in the event of a bushfire, there are endless options to enjoy the outdoors.
