Project Description
The transformation of this old 70s home is astounding!
A wonderful team of a talented owner and excellent builder made this such a satisfying project. The before and after photos speak for themselves. The tired face brick, pseudo-classical Italian balustrading and low roof pitch made this a difficult design task; how to make a silk purse out of the proverbial sow’s ear? The main solution was the addition of large gables on both the front and back, with much more steeply pitched rooflines. These new roofs mask the low pitch central roof, bringing the eye to more pleasing details. On the front a smaller gable was added to enhance and signify the entry, and on the back a first floor square bay window adds a floating element to the larger gable. Beautiful interior design finished off this amazing transformation.
