Project Description

A tiny heritage home in Bowral, this cute little building presented a dilemma; how to not only sensitively restore this lovely heritage item, but also to quadruple the size of the building to create a comfortable family home. The solution was to add an entry element behind the cottage, forming a link between the heritage part and the large new extension. This allows a clear separation between old and new, and a beautiful contemporary home complete with discrete courtyards was created. The front heritage portion of the building houses a classy new master bedroom suite. The project was a Finalist in the Wingecarribee Heritage Awards in 2011.
